So tomorrow the frame comes off! Can't wait! I'm sure I'll be the happiest person in day surgery! Got to be in at the ungodly hour of 7:45am I think. I'm hoping I can just start walking on it again without any limits on weight bearing. Will bring the crutches just in case (currently just using a stick).

Trying not to get too excited and don't want to book anything just yet.. but once this frame is off my leg we want to go on holiday! It's been 6 long months since the accident and I desperately need a holiday. If all goes well and there's no last minute cancellation the frame will be off on Thursday. So spent the weekend with my frame loosened off. I've not had any extra pain in my leg which is good news and its all still feeling nice and loose. Spoke briefly to the registrar this morning and he's going to speak to the consultant but he's hoping it's ready to book a date for taking it off (the frame not the leg ( Read more... )

Sunday saw me up bright and early for my work trip to Nuremberg. Annoyingly there's no direct flights from Bristol so the whole day was spent travelling via Amsterdam. I've decided I hate March.. Its one of those months where you really can't tell what season it is. One minute you get a tantalising glimpse of spring, the next minute gales and rain and in some years even snow!

This year more than ever I really wish winter would just GO AWAY and STAY AWAY!

Despite being a snot monster I needed some fresh air, so we ventured out into the park by our house with my camera and I took some pictures of the local wildlife.. well not so wild..

Still got the lurgy so staying off work for at least today. Simon has been off all last week and today with it as well. I was supposed to have hydrotherapy today but have had to cancel as I doub't they'd like the pool filled with snot. I know things will eventually get better. But I now have a sore throat and feel like poo so it seems I've caught whatever Simon has had that's kept him off work this week. I'm supposed to have a pysiotherapy appointment early tomorrow morning at 8:40 then a meeting with my boss at 11 but if I still feel like this I recon I'll have to call in sick. ( Read more... )
