Ok, I finally got moved back to Speicher last week and I found out that another name for Speicher is Tikrit, which is the hometown of Saddam. Great..I am living in the man's birthplace. But at THIS moment, I am in Kuwait, waiting for 0-dark:30 to catch a plane to DC. Yes, I am on my way home for R&R. I will be in DC for five days and Seattle

Do you ever feel like things from your past are right up in your face, and yet unimaginably far away? Like a particular event could've happened just yesterday, or a thousand years ago? Do you ever simultaneously feel like you've just met someone, and that you've known them your entire life (whether you have or not)?

And yes, we are now 3 cubed, a couple of old farts. Any day now you'll be joining the Red Hats Society, and I'll be excercising my rights as a grumpy old man to pinch nurse's bottoms.

I'm sorry you won't be able to swing by the Midwest and say hello to Dessa and me. We'll miss you (I will at least, and I don't see why she wouldn't). Happy Birthday, greenfire (I already said that, but it bears repeating).
