The Common Application is a curse. I was college-hunting 20 years ago, right before it started to be a big thing, so I filled out all my applications one-by-one and thus limited myself to only 4 schools. But now if the only thing you need to apply is a few clicks and the application fee, I can see why people apply to 15-20 schools and still feel insecure about it.

Yeah, the Common App has done a number on college applications. Combine that with cost of attendance, and it's a lot more stressful than it needs to be.
