I have a new show to love. There's a lot of great tv out there! I still need to post about Ms. Marvel (if you haven't watched yet, WATCH NOW; this post will still be here when you get back) and probably others. I know it's not the best show I've been watching.

i probably mentioned it before, but scott bakula keeps defending the writer, donald p. bellisario (because like 99.44% of the fandom is not happy with the ending).
at that point in writing/filming they didn't know of NBC was going to give them another season (or a few episodes) to wrap things up, or a TV movie for that purpose. there was even talk of a theatrical movie.
so, the final episode had to serve as a possible series finally, a final episode of the season & a lead-in to a TV movie or a theatrical movie.
the text shown at the end was an add-on when bellisario found out that NBC wasn't giving them any more episodes or a TV movie & a theatrical movie was probable.

It's really the text that killed me. I was happy up to that point! I wish he hadn't added that. Or, as some people have proposed, just added the word "yet"! Leave it open!

Yes! It snuck up on me too! In the really excessively long version of this post (and not the merely excessively long one I published), I mentioned that after two decades of hearing it would be coming back, and thinking it shouldn't without the original cast, suddenly it was happening and I hadn't even heard! So I gave myself whiplash-no, they shouldn't remake it!-wait, it has Ernie Hudson? maybe-no, they shouldn't do it!
I'm glad I gave it a try! It's goofy and not at all the best tv on, but I'm enjoying the heck out of it.
