lol seriously. I have been so bad with keeping up with LJ and updating and stuff. Part of it is because I've just been really busy this semester with school work and other things. The other part is that I've actually just become seriously addicted to Tumblr and forget that I still have a LJ lol. It's actually kind of ridiculous, it's turned me back ( Read more... )

Which neighborhood are you in again? You need to get yourself to Lakeview/Wrigleyville. It's my favorite part of Chicago.

I'm in Uptown, but the apartments we're looking at are all in the Lakeview area. Also the Lincoln Park neighborhood, because the girl I'm trying to room with has a job there so it'd be easy for her if we could find something that wouldn't be too far for her to travel.

Lincoln Park is nice, but Lakeview is cheaper. A bus ride between the two doesn't take long.

Yeah, Lakeview is definitely cheaper. Most of the people I know from school and classes all live in that area, which is part of the reason I want to move there, it's just much more of a student/college friendly area. I mean, it wouldn't kill her to take a bus ride back and forth, and I'm sure she'd by fine with it, I just want to make sure we're both 100% happy with whatever decision we make, so that's why I keep asking for her input. I had to compromise a lot in order to meet the needs of my current roommate for the place we have now, and I don't want to have to repeat that this time around.

Yeah I totally know what you mean. It's easier to accept being shy and awkward and socially anxious on our own terms but it's such a serious insult when someone else points it out. I've had friends do that to me before and it just made me want to kill myself. =(

I really do know how hard it is to just do shit, but if you can get to that point I think things will be a lot easier. Stay strong and keep trying. :)
