Chapter Nineteen Part 3

If Daiki could, he might’ve strangled Inoo hours ago since all he kept talking about was Kenneth and how he’s actually this important person in Line’s life and so and so. Yes. Since they got back to their dorms because classes are basically over, Inoo stayed in Daiki’s room and like a recorder on replay, all he did was tell Daiki everything Line has told him.
“Can you imagine that!? It’s a pretty awesome story… Oi, Dai-chan… Were you even listening?”
Daiki, who was trying to pretend like he’s doing some computer program sh*t, turned his chair around and faced Inoo. “What exactly do you want me to say, Kei?” his line came out rather too seriously.
Inoo raised his eyebrows, “Why are you mad at me?”
“I’m not…” But Daiki’s words came more like a whisper as he turns his chair around once again, his back facing Inoo as he types randomly on his laptop. “Didn’t Line ask you to come with her somewhere this afternoon, what the hell are you doing loitering here in my room?”
“Line-chan called for a raincheck.” Inoo slouched more on Daiki’s bed as he uttered that word in English.
“Raincheck?” Daiki sounded curious suddenly.
“Reschedule.” Soon, Inoo decided to stand up, walked towards Daiki and made sure that they’re facing each other. “On a totally different note, may I ask why you were with Asuka?”
Daiki just frowned.
“I saw you. She was with you. You even walked her to the girl’s dorm.”
“We were taking the same route, what’s wrong with that?” Daiki tried to not sound so smug. The truth is, he’s still pretty mad about Line and Inoo and their private conversations.
“Dai-chan, fix yourself!” Inoo sounded genuinely mad. “What the heck am I supposed to do with you!?”
As if on cue, Daiki’s phone started ringing, and Inoo eyed it murderously. There’s something about Inoo at this very moment that can pretty much scare anybody - and Daiki can’t really put it into words either. There’s just something about his mood, his tone… it became all weird like this since he started talking about Kenneth and Line and that Daiki has been totally unresponsive.
Ignoring Inoo’s glare, Daiki picks up his phone and Inoo was just staring at him - perhaps wanting to know who the caller is….
“Oh… Asuka-san…” Daiki uttered, glanced at Inoo then tried to walk away but Inoo grabbed the phone from Daiki and took over the call.
“Sorry. Dai-chan’s busy.” Inoo’s words were too scary for even Daiki felt chills as he watches his friend shut his phone.
With a ‘tsk’ Daiki stood up, leaned against a wall and tried to act like he’s not scared of Inoo’s character as of the moment, “What’s wrong with you Kei-chan?”
“What’s wrong with me? What’s wrong with you!? You tell me!”
“W…What!?”
“Line-chan followed you earlier… when you dramatically walked away, do you even know that!?” Inoo made sure he sounded pretty sarcastic. “While you’re sulking off who knows what, she tried to find you.”
Daiki blinked. Line-chan followed him? So she did care.
“Tell me. Do you like her or not?” This came out all of a sudden that Daiki felt like his throat tightened too much in a matter of seconds.
“I…” Was all he could utter.
“Hurry with settling your feelings already you stupid, coward!” Daiki can only stare at the weirdness Inoo’s suddenly seriously talking about, “Before you know it, she might be gone.”

“My last class would be on the 21st….” Line spoke, as she glances over her mini organizer.
“My husband and Ayu will be driving to Tokyo on the 23rd, my husband needed to quickly do something work-related and Ayu begged that she comes with him. They’re actually thinking if you’d like, they’ll come pick you up so you can spend Christmas here with us. They’ll be driving back here on the 24th. Ayu was pretty sad when she heard you’ll be arriving after Christmas you see…” The person on the other line spoke.
Line stopped what she was doing. What’s with December 24? “….the 24th…” Line uttered.
“Unless of course, if you have something planned already, then that’s fine. I’m sure Ayu would understand. You don’t have to adjust everything, that girl can sometimes act spoiled.” She sounded rather embarrassed.
“No… Not really…” But on the 24th… It’s that Christmas Party, isn’t it?

Yamada started pounding at the door, “Who the hell is this!?” he uttered angrily. It’s getting late, and there’s barely nothing you can see in this dark room. Well, it is a stock room a bit larger than the usual ones, but it’s still a stock room. There’s only one window, rectangular and narrow; just enough to let a little light in.
“Prank, probably.” Louise uttered, as she tried fishing stuff they could use - yes, it is pretty dark. As she waves her hands on that space beside her, “Oi Yama-chan, calm down…”
“What if no one comes and we’d be stuck here all night!?” He does sound genuinely worried.
“Oh… I’m sure someone will come…” Louise uttered rather carelessly and soon, “Ah… here we are…” She holds up a flashlight and the room was suddenly lit a little.
Yamada kept pounding at the door again, “SOMEONE!”
“You’re too noisy!!!” Louise complained, along with hitting Yamada on the head. “We’ve only been here for some minutes, calm down!”
TWO HOURS LATER…
“Okay, it’s funny how no one’s coming…” Louise uttered, and Yamada sighed. They’re sitting side by side on the floor, that little flashlight of theirs, flickering. “Oh crap…” even before Yamada can ask what’s wrong, the flashlight flickered a few more before dying out completely. “I expected that…”
Yamada cursed and stood up. He tried pounding at the door again, but it feels like his calls are just echoing inside this little room they’re in. “Tell me again why we both have no cell phones with us?”
“Left mine inside my bag, sorry…” Louise uttered rather casually. “I dunno where’s yours…”
“Locker…” Yamada uttered. Then he cursed again. And thus Louise sighed. “Why do you seem like you’re not worried at all?” He asked rather curious - it’s true, he’s been panicking and Louise is just sitting there.
She shrugged, “I don’t wanna stress myself. We’re basically stuck in a room inside a school we go to everyday. This room is always used by staff. It’s like not we’re in a dungeon or something…”
“What time is it anyways…” Thinking about it, how is it that it’s so dark already?
Louise pouted and raised her wrist to Yamada’s eye level, “Sorry. I don’t wear watches. Never did.”
---
“We can just finish up the other stuff tomorrow morning.” Shougo announced and Yuto’s just tired. They’ve been practicing since afternoon. It’s not good that they’re in a tight schedule. His hands are pretty much giving up too.
Keito, who just finished putting away his instrument, walked over to Yuto still on his chair behind his drums. The two were looking over the people inside the gym with them who’re working on the decorations. “I haven’t seen Umi-chan since this afternoon…” he spoke and Yuto frowned, looking closer.
“…Maybe she’s doing stuff somewhere…” Was all Yuto could reply. He stood up and soon, he and Keito were on their way out of the gym, when he suddenly almost bumped onto someone. “Ah… sorry…” and when the girl looked at him, Yuto felt like his muscles went stiff. It was Akihiko. Oh right, they’re suspension is over, and she’s back.
Yuto made a mental note to not say anything and was on his way, when he heard someone, sounding really worried, saying something to Keito. “We can’t find Umiko-san, or Yamada-kun anywhere!” He’s not sure why, but as Yuto heard this, all he immediately thought of is the face of that person he almost ran onto just a few seconds ago.
Before anything else, Keito and Yuto dashed out of the gym and started looking for their friends.

“Aaaaah….” Ruby uttered, resting her head on that little café table. She and Line-chan felt like drinking some hot choco tonight, so after dinner, they walked to that favourite café of everybody. Line just finished telling Ruby the mini events with Daiki this afternoon, and here she goes sulking. “Line-chan…” she uttered rather sadly, “I just… I just don’t know what to say…”
Pouting, Line takes a sip. This is probably the first time she’s had coffee - yes, not café mocha - in a while. It tasted pretty bitter yet sweet as the same time. “I hate how I can’t act normal…”
“Yeah…” Ruby sighed once again. “And now I’m pretty sure Arioka-kun feels different… I mean… he’s worried and all that and… argh…. Your story is supposed to be fluffy, what happened Line!?”
“Hey! Don’t get mad at me… it’s not like I have any choice. Every time I see him, I feel like I wanna run.” Then she became quiet all of a sudden. “It’s only been days…”
“Yeah… Just days huh… of not talking to him…” Ruby takes a sip.
Line clicked her phone unlock, and still, there’s her wallpaper - a picture of her and Daiki. Where has these days gone? Then suddenly, she just uttered, “I miss him.”
Ruby felt like all the light bulbs inside her head lit at the same time. “Then just tell him you do.”
Meanwhile, on a seat just at the corner, a smile just made it into Inoo’s face upon hearing his little Line’s confession (or sorta…)
xXxXx
“Grrrrwwwwwwllllrrrr…” Louise shot her head up. “Sorry. I’m hungry.”
This at least puts a smile on Yamada’s face. He’s been frozen, good as sleeping since they last tried to call for help. “That sounds like a cat…”
“Oh… My dog’s tummy growls like a tiger.” Then again, as they speak, Louise realized that Yamada has been really quiet. “It’s either you’re scared of the dark, or you really just don’t wanna talk.”
“Well. I can’t sleep with the lights off…. So does that count?” She knows he’s smiling; at least this Yama-chan’s back. “Sorry… I’m just spacing out. For all I know, you’re the one who’s actually scared.”
“I can’t sleep with the lights on.” She grinned and she can felt Yamada rolling his eyes. “If I’d be stuck here by myself, then I’d be scared.”
“Noted.” And they just both laughed. “Not that I’m planning on locking you by yourself in the near future only to see you look like a shaking, scared-to-death-cat, but yeah… thanks for the idea.”
“That’s more like it. Talk.” Louise uttered, fiddling with that little flashlight of theirs.
Yamada smiled. What has he been sulking about anyways? Sure it’s frustrating that he can’t do anything to let them out of this situation, but really, it isn’t such a bad situation at all.
---
“I’ll look upstairs.” Keito said upon arriving at their classroom and seeing that Louise’s and Yamada’s things are still here.
Yuto, who’s been calling Louise’s phone and heard it vibrating inside her bag, replied “I’ll have a look at this floor.” He looked at Yamada’s stuff, “Where are you guys…” It’s just like that episode at the park when they were kids. And just like that time at Hakkeijima. Always. Louise always slips away without him knowing.
---
“Sorry for dragging you into this.” Yamada was surprised as Louise said this all of a sudden.
He frowned and asked, “What’s that about?”
“Well I’m pretty sure, the target is just me.” She replied rather casually, “Not that I’m surprised.” Even before Yamada can say anything she continued, “Come on, it’s not like only Akihiko and her friends hate me.” She pouted, “I know there are more out there that don’t really like me around here.”
“Umi-chan, that’s too positive thinking.” Yamada said sarcastically.
“My story’s like the ones on mangas. I show up, befriend some guys - ehem, they say you guys are popular and all that - I mean… do you know where I’m getting at?”
“You read shoujo don’t you?” Yamada felt like holding his chuckles, but they come out.
“I’m actually being serious!” She complained and hits him.
“Okay, okay… I’m sorry.” But he heard her laughing a little too. “But yes, I do understand where you’re getting at, and I’m telling you that real life isn’t like that in the mangas.”
“Well, it is.” Then Yamada can see faintly her silhouette as she leans forward, rest her elbow on her crossed legs and lazily slump her chin on her hand. “Too much drama in this place.”
“Out of curiosity, how come you haven’t made much ‘girl’ friends….? Not that it matters whether your friends are girls or guys, but just curious…”
Louise shrugged. “I get along with whoever I get along. I don’t choose.” She looks up at the ceiling, “I’m bad at making friends.” She sighed again, “And it’s not like I chose to be friends with a bunch of guys, but that’s who I’m comfortable with…”
“Perhaps, you just don’t meet the right set of people right away.”
“I did here.” She smiled and that actually was something Yamada was happy to see. She looks genuinely happy. “You, Yuu-chan, Keito, Chii, Kawashima-chan…” he can actually hear that contented feeling in her voice, “It’s like a great package deal.” Then her voice was suddenly quiet, “Too bad though, people don’t think it’s that great…”
“They’re just envious.” Yamada uttered, “And Jealous.” He sighed, “That’s what happens when you end up having stuff they want but they can’t get.”
“You think I don’t know that?” She hits him again and they both laughed. “No really…”
“You did tell me once, that I must not think of what others would say. Do the same.”
“It’s pretty hard to ignore their envy and jealousy, when they try to lock you inside a storage room.”
Then they heard faint footsteps. More like someone running. “There’s someone out there!” They both yelled.
“….Yama-chan!!!!” Was the voice calling from outside. “Yama-chan!” his voice is coming closer, and Louise knew right away who it was when he called out, “RUUU-CHAAAAN!”
“WE’RE IN HERE!” Louise shouted, and even she was surprised by the loudness of her voice - darn this tiny room.
“…Eh? Ruu-chan!?” Yuto’s voice sounded like he’s really close, and soon, there were knocks on the door.
Upon hearing this, Yamada and Louise were both just thrilled that they tried to get up, doing it at the same time, and with tiny space, they ended up tripping and soon noise was all over the room as things stumble. “Ouch…” Louise uttered.
Yuto managed to open the door, and wasn’t sure if he wants to just disappear upon seeing what’s inside. There on the floor, Yamada was on top of Louise and their lips where just inches away that Yuto had to try and not say anything.
“Sorry.” Yamada was trying to get up and he helped Louise up the moment he found his feet. As Louise tries to stand, she winced and Yamada caught her.
“You tripped on my bad ankle earlier, you dummy…” Louise was cursing. Sprains can be annoying you see. Then she looked at Yuto, who’s just standing there. “Yuu-chan, thanks for finding us.”
“What are you guys doing in here?” He asked, trying to be as casual as possible.
“Long story.” Louise uttered, and she tries and manages to get up with her bad leg limping a bit, and walked towards Yuto, “Cut it short, someone locked us in.” She heard Yuto mumble something and soon, she was surprised when he pulled her close and carried her. “Oi…”
“Let’s get that treated and get you home.” He said rather authoritatively that Louise was caught off guard. “Thanks Yama-chan…” he uttered and soon Yuto was just walking away with Louise complaining but Yamada can’t make out what she’s saying.
Keito arrived just few seconds after that and Yuto and Louise was already far off. “Yama-chan, you okay?”
“Ne Keito…” Yamada uttered, as he watches Yuto and Louise. “Is it bad that I feel bad right now…?”
Surprised at Yamada’s sudden words, Keito can only try and not side to anyone. First Yuto, now Yamada. Louise is sure making a mess. “You have no idea how alike you guys think.” And with that Keito just stared at Yuto and Louise as well.
---
Akihiko just stared at the scene as Yuto picks up Louise and walks away. “Sorry Aki…” Ayaka uttered. “It seems like it didn’t work the way you think it would’ve.”
“I’ll still make him hate her.”
“Just quit it already.” This surprised Akihiko. Ayaka was always her right-hand man. What’s this? Is he bailing out on her? “I mean. It’s useless.”
There was that deathly stare Akihiko has, and soon he stormed off leaving her words, “You’ll see. I’ll make sure he hates her.”
xXxXx
That night, Daiki received a text message from Line.
Hey. Sorry if I’m acting all weird lately. It’s just that, I’m thinking of a lot of stuff, perhaps I’m channeling my frustrations unknowingly towards you. Gomen ne Dai-chan. Sorry if I make you worry. I’ll make it up to you, okay? ;)
If you ask me, just this message would not have made any difference, but to Daiki, it made him feel tons better. At least Line isn’t really trying to avoid him - or so he thinks. That yes, he is thankful for Inoo telling him the Kenneth details, for it is a lot to take in. He’s thinking that if he’s in Line’s shoes, he probably won’t be able to act properly.
The weird thing is. He’s not worried about Kenneth at all. Or that Inoo thinks Kenneth is still the one Line thinks of as her special someone. It’s not like Daiki thinks he is Line’s special someone, it’s just that… he feels like it’s not Kenneth. Why? He’s not so sure.
As she looks at his phone’s wallpaper after reading Line’s message, Daiki feels like his heartbeats going faster - on a much, erm, happier rate, I guess?
---
Hugging her phone closer, Line takes a deep breath. That’s about the reset button for every weird thing she’s done so far. No more awkward moments. She missed Daiki and she wants to spend more days with him the way they used to. It’s going to be tough, but she just hates all this worrying and such.
Actually, she wants to spend more normal times with Daiki before she finally tells him how she feels. Because after that, she knows no matter what reset button she clicks, things can’t be back to the way they used to.

It’s the 21st and Louise can only apologize and apologize, and apologize. See, the Foundation Festival came and went without her - basically. She only got to visit the school on the 17th (Saturday) and watched the ending ceremony. Her ankle went from bad to worst since the storage incident that she had to stay at home and rest. She was lucky her dad allowed her to come to the last day, but he was with her, so went home right after the ending ceremony. He’s being ridiculously overprotective these past few days and Louise is getting really irritated but oh well…
Over the weekends, Yuto dropped by for a visit, and Keito did too. Yamada kept calling her almost every night, blaming her for leaving him alone with the decors and all that. It was nice actually; she felt that she has this group where she belongs; that little family in school. Chinen did call her as well, and Kawashima kept texting her.
And now, back in school…
She’s back to tiptop condition though, but yes, she missed a lot. It was great that her art works and decors were done early before the festival, so she was able to do her part of the job. It’s the last day of classes before Christmas break. “I still think it’s unfair.” Yamada uttered, as they eat over lunch. They’ve connected their tables, hers, Yuto’s, Keito’s and Yama-chan’s, forming this larger looking table.
“It’s unfair that she didn’t suffer at all.” Yuto agreed. They actually are planning on teasing her about missing the festival.
“Really guys, these has been going on since Monday!” Louise uttered rather irritated. “Keito, say something here!”
Keito was busy munching but he rolled his eyes towards Louise - mocking a snub. After swallowing, “I still personally hate you for not performing as you promised.”
With wide eyes, Louise stared at Keito. Both Yamada and Yuto stopped chewing their food. “Performing…?” Yuto almost chocked. “Wait, what?”
And her eyes went wider, Louise swear she wants to stab Keito with her chopsticks as he spoke, “She promised that she’ll do one surprise performance.” Staring at Louise back, “You promised that.”
“…That was because sensei was just being silly. I was only kidding.”
“When was this?” Yamada asked, curious.
Louise tried to brush the idea off, “Oh… just a random morning when Keito was talking with sensei a few weeks ago.”
“We had a problem about having a small number of performances.” Keito replied, then he looked at Yuto, “Remember how we couldn’t come up with enough songs to fit the entire ending ceremony program?”
Yuto nodded, “So… that explains that special slot on the planned pamphlet.”
“But yes, she bailed on it.” Keito sounded rather snub.
“How about I sprain your ankle, then you tell me what I should’ve done.” Louise was feeling deflated. It’s rare times like these she feels like she’s losing.
“I won’t forgive you.” Keito looked at her seriously. And Yuto and Yamada just watched as Keito and Louise seemingly started a staring game. “You have to sing.”
She cursed, “WH-HAT? No…”
“Come to think of it, we ended up killing ourselves working on that extra unexpected performance that was added to our list, you should make up for that Ruu-chan…” Yuto, sounding more like the usual him, seems to like the way this conversation is going.
“Did you know I ended up being forced to dance?” Yamada surprised her with this, and Yuto and Keito nodded.
“Wait till the rest of the class finds out how much trouble you’ve caused us Ruu-chan…” Yuto uttered rather sarcastically.
“Woah, woah, time-out!” Louise actually stood up and slammed her fist on the table. “You three…” She spoke threateningly, pointing her chopsticks on each of their faces, one after the other. “Oh, you don’t wanna make me angry.”
But it was Keito who stood up, leaned closer, and he was really seriously staring eye to eye with Louise. “You have to sing on our class New Year Party at the start of the year.” Then he grinned.
All the colors went away from Louise’s face… “WHHHAAT!? What New Year Party?”
“We couldn’t hold a Christmas Party this year, so we postponed it and made it into a New Year’s Party.” Yuto explained and Yamada nodded while Louise rolled her eyes on this. My, my, she certainly knows nothing much.
“I thought you don’t back out on anything?” Keito replied rather cockily and Yuto and Yamada can’t deny how amusing this scene is.
And as if struck by lightning, “Fine.” Louise uttered. “You have to sing too.” Keito then frowned. “Then we’ll ask the class which performance is better.”
This time, Shougo is actually already listening to this heating challenge. He’s as curious and excited as Yuto and Yamada.
“If I end up getting more votes, therefore win, you’ll have to dress up as girl for one week.” She eyed Yuto, Yamada and Shougo, “And you three too.” They complained but Keito looked at them determined that they all just nodded.
Keito titled his head gangster-like, “Okay. Deal. If I win, you won’t go back to Canada.” He said his condition in English and Louise was held back a little. Yuto suddenly turned serious as well, and Yamada too. This is serious condition, Keito, what are you thinking? But since Louise didn’t really reply right away, “You do know I’m serious Umi-chan…”
“You’re on.” And for a moment, a little bickering suddenly turned into a challenge they both think they want to work hard at. But to be honest, Louise was kind of half-hearted as of who she really wants to win - as her mother’s voice echoes inside her head.
xXxXx
It’s already the 23rd.
It’s been nothing but normal for our trio. Line’s back with them the way she’s used too, and Daiki couldn’t explain how much he loves being with her more like this. Just yesterday they went shopping for gifts for some of their friends since Christmas party is near.
“Do you think Ruby would really look good in this?” Line asked, pulling that red dress she’s been wanting to buy for her friend.
Daiki, holding up some bags they’ve already shopped, looked at the dress, “It looks good on you too!”
“No! Not for me!” She complained like a kid, “Baka, answer properly!”
Daiki laughed, “Yes, yes. I think Ruby-san would look good on that.”
“I still can’t believe Kei-chan ignored us and didn’t come.” Line uttered as he browsed for more clothes while keeping hold of that red one.
Daiki knows exactly why Inoo didn’t come. He wanted Daiki to be able to tell Line how he feels. He made sure he wanted Daiki to say it soon. “You know how Kei-chan is…”
Line pouted, but deep inside, she too knows what Inoo’s trying to play. Same as Ruby, they just want Line to tell Daiki what she really feels. But what’s with the hurry? Time likes these are precious enough. No need to ruin it with unnecessary stuff. Right? “Oh… Dai-chan…” She uttered, pulling a white Jacket. “This looks like your jacket, only… this look fits a girl more.”
Smiling because she does pay attention, “Yeah it does.” Daiki replied.
“That jacket of yours is one of my favourites.” She uttered, putting back the white jacket.
“Oh? I’ll wear it often then…”
She just grinned and started walking off towards other racks. Daiki didn’t follow her but instead, he just watched her. It’s nice you see - just seeing Line like this.
Soon, they seem to have checked off most of the people in both of their lists that they’ve decided to take a break. Hot Choco and Café mocha sounds nice, so while in town, the two tried to look for a café and was happy enough to spot one that serves their favourite drinks.
“You sure your brother would like that bag you bought for him?” Line uttered before taking a sip, “I mean, I’m not really if you should’ve gotten that navy blue one. Maybe he’ll like the grey one better.”
“Line-chan, have more faith in your taste will ya?” Daiki tapped on her forehead.
“Fine. Don’t blame me if he doesn’t like it, okay?” She pouted and drinks more.
Daiki chuckled, “I’ll kill him if he doesn’t like it.”
Soon, Daiki’s phone was ringing, he meant to ignore it but Line forced him to answer it.
“Asuka-san…” Daiki uttered rather hesitantly and Line just kept drinking, as if she didn’t hear anything. “Ah… Okay.” Was Daiki’s reply after a long pause and soon, “Yes, sure. Okay. Ja…” He hangs up, placing his phone on the table. “She’s been helping me with computer science a lot lately.”
“Un…” Line uttered as she keep drinking.
“We have this project due tonight, since we’re working in pairs, she keeps calling asking me for my opinion. I already did my part though.”
“Oh she just wants to keep in touch Dai-chan.” Line uttered, surprisingly with a light tone. “And why are you explaining to me?”
“Ah… uhmm…. Well, nothing really.”
She smiled, “It can’t be helped. She likes you, doesn’t she?”
Daiki felt like this isn’t something he likes to hear, “Oh no, don’t go with this topic Chibikko…”
Line chuckled, “Okay, okay…” She puts her hands up and then, “Oh! I almost forgot.” She uttered, pulling out something from her bag. “I was out the other day and thought of printing these.” She hands him an envelope. “They’re random photos of You, Me and Kei-chan.” She smiled, “Thought I’d give you guys some copies.”
“….Thanks…” He wanted to say more, but he just couldn’t. It’s like Daiki’s words were lost upon seeing these photos. It’s been a short time that they’ve been with Line, but little things they’ve done together makes him feel like it’s been years that he’s been with her. “Ah… this one.”
“That’s that action-y day with Takaki-kun.” Line leaned forward as they both looked at the picture Daiki was holding up, “I did get to take a photo of Kei-chan with my bag slumped over his shoulder.” They both laughed. Oh man. How long ago was that?
---
Soon, Line and Daiki heads back to campus - with still quite a few people around. Christmas vacation started yesterday, some students went off to their hometowns or vacation spots. But it seems a great number still walks around. Mostly, they’re probably sticking around till the Christmas Party, but a few, like Daiki’s computer class, still gets to be busy for some extended deadlines. And there’s also some more activities going on even this late of the year, but University is like that - things aren’t going like they used to back in high school.
As Line was about to bid good bye since they’re in front of the girl’s dormitory, “By the way Dai-chan.” She uttered, and Daiki waited.
Actually, she’s been planning to tell him something, the entire time she was with him today, but things just happen so casually that she ended up not thinking about it. Now that they’re to part, the thought crosses her mind again. She wanted to tell him before she leaves for Gunma tomorrow - but even about her change of plans on the date of her departure to Gunma, she still isn’t able to tell Daiki about that.
“Ah… nevermind. I actually forgot what I was going to say. Haha. I’ll just message you when I remember.”
Daiki just smiled, he looks like he’s about to laugh though. “Okay then. See you at the party tomorrow, Line-chan.”
But Line didn’t reply, she just nodded curtly and watched as Daiki heads towards the boy’s dormitory.

Chapter Nineteen Part 4
