Holy CRAP! In an awesomely good way. This is just...wow. Amazing and glorious and SO DARK, and yes, I can see him coming out dark like this. Because that's exactly what prison could do to a guy like Weevil--strip away all his hope--which makes him into the man he never wanted to be.

LOL! Strangely tho, it's still the brutality he showed toward Logan that really strikes me and makes me sorta ache and feel cold and a little scared. Because the end...was different to me.

And, dude, we totally brainshare about the way he is when he gets out. Because...well, I can't take him to this extreme, but I believe that being in jail for a while, losing his grandmother...all that could really make him cold and angry and unwilling to trust in the goodness of people.

Well, I have "While he was in prison" backstory that I haven't written yet that will make all of what I have written sort of explode in a way that will make perfect sense. And it's going to take Veronica into a very dark place because she wants to help but she'll be so very far out of her league. So it should be interesting for her as well.

And then Dark Heart Dawning will take over, with about 5-10 years between the two fics. It'll be Veronica's second chance to save him and she'll be even more desperate.

I do think it's been hard for people to read this chapter. Strangely, it wasn't hard to write at all. Cause I'm morbid and creepifying that way. LOL
