I loved this from start to finish. Your Mac voice and point of view was just perfect and, of course, I love the way you write Weevil. I winced, I sighed, I winced some more. I loved how you brought these characters together.

only Eli Navarro could take vulnerability and put a barbed wire edge around it. What an absolutely awesome description. I wish I could frame it or tattoo it on me.

Wow. Never occured to me that he might not know. I love her reaction to it--heartbreaking and telling and I love her surprise and the beginning of this bitterness, where before she's been so quiet and easygoing.

I have more written of this fic...but I'm wary of posting it. Because, the truth of it is that he basically got some chick he barely knew drunk and had sex with her. Which is morally ambiguous at best. There isn't a happily ever after when they realize what they've done. At least, not right away.

So... reading sowell's fic made me love Mac/weevil, and I've been googling like crazy to find more fics of this pairing. I found this one... and I must say I really, really enjoyed it. Great voices, both of them, lovely writing.
