*happy sigh* I just loved this fic, so very much. Excellent job! I adore this pairing, and was so pleased to see some great fic with the two of them. Your character voices are just spot-on, and you also capture the dark-humored tone and feel of the show that I love. (I love my snarky humor, yes, I do.) This was a rich and believable look at the two of them, how they could come together, and what it could be like.

It wasn’t like she actually had anything better to do than walk up and down the beach saving clothing in distress. Her mother called it 'being antisocial'.

Ha! Perfect. So many lines that killed me.

His full weight combined with the feel of his t-shirt against her bare stomach made what she was doing suddenly and intensely real.

Loved that line in particular. You really nailed that scene and made it all seem vivid. (And hot.)

“Promise you won’t take my clothes,” she whispered, cringing at her own vulnerability ( ... )

Oh, this was just incredible. I'm here via soundingsea's rec and WOW! I can't believe I would have missed this. Amazing work. I love the progression of sobriety to intoxication. Your descriptions of the sensations Mac feels when Weevil touches her are *so* clear. You created such a tactile story here. I really hope you post(ed?) more!
