As promised, today will feature a more comprehensive post covering all aspects of my Pittsburgh summer experience.

Life in Donner

Last night was my first night to actually sleep in Donner. Sleeping in the high bed was an all right experience (possibly because at least this bed has a railing and is stable and up against the wall, instead of there ( Read more... )

Because I totally heart hearing about yopru classes and such... this sounds pretty nice. I wish I'd been motivated enough to do this much during summer.

Oh!

I have two and a half shelves of tea and tea accesories. :D I love your love of tea. We have (we = my household) a Cuisinart one, but that's because my husband and I got it for a wedding present.

Haha, my friends are all convinced I'm a total freak for not really taking a break this summer after already suffering through the toughest year of my entire academic life. I'm just not a fan of these long summer vacations that are standard in the U.S., and never have been. In Europe, we'd get 4-6 weeks for summer break and while I do admit that 4 is a little on the short side, I really think that 6-8 weeks would be the ideal length. Breaks are good, but I don't want to be sitting around for three months with nothing productive to do with my time. Especially now that the boyfriend and I are forced to be apart.

Tea lovers unite! LOL, I have even more stuff at home... it's really kind of ridiculous. I have three teapots of my own, and various teacups and such. I'm probably bringing one back here with me next time I go back to Texas because Felix got me real oolong tea leaves and I refuse to drink them out of anything other than a real teapot. :D;

I prefer the European system for just about everything, but that's coming from someone who has never lived anywhere but California and the United States my entire life. I LIKE having a big holiday/winter break, it seemed more logical then. Of course, when I had a month long break for that, I started running out of things to do even then.

I have a shelf at home that's like, four tiny little teapots, and we have a big assortment of loose leaf and bagged teas. I bought a Dunoon China mug online, SPECIFICALLY for me (it's a Capricorn one) and the tea habit. Hehe.
