I had my follow up with the doctor last Monday. I am cleared to return to normal activities, but still need to wait on the fighting thing. I am felling really good. That's great news. Both the healing and the potential work thing. :)

Starting a new field has its benefits and drawbacks. I know many people who "rebooted" their career at about the same time in life as you, and it went wonderfully. I also know others for whom it wasn't the wisest choice. It really depends on what you put into it, I guess. Gotta admit.. medical field is one of those industries that just won't go away. Bodies will keep breaking and SOMEONE has to fix 'em.

Good to hear you're on the mend, If you had to pick a time of year that you couldn't fight.

Regarding going back to school and changing careers, I am probably doing the same thing in the fall.
