In Tornado Alley, there is no time for Oprah

Hope my local f-list people weathered the storms last night. I was awake until 2 trying to decide if the tornado warnings were going to make it to me or not. Turned into a not. But this meant that I watched an awful lot of late night TV in nearly vain hope that the weather coverage would be adequate

i still have deep space nine episodes on video tape that have the entire lower third of the screen taken up by doppler radar and storm graphics and scroll bars.

i used to find it annoying; now it makes me wistful.

I hear you...a friend of mine was in one of those lovely Tornados in Arkansas and may never walk again. I'm a Yankee with a much better appreciation of the damn things now.
