LOL, oh no... I know the cultural void well, but I seem to be in less of one than you are.
"The Dark Knight" is the newest Batman movie. Heath Ledger's last project before his death. He plays the Joker. A tremendously creepy one, apparently.
"That's what she said" is a fun new double entendre cliche/phrase/idiom. For example:
While trying to get the new cable box/tv working: Guy 1: Dude, you have to plug that thing in there. Guy 2: Huh? Where? Oh, I got it. Guy 1: Yeah, is it in yet? Guy 2: THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID HUR HUR. Guy 1: HA HA! Oh snap!
This phrase can also be permutated into "that's what he said," depending on the phrasing of what we are trying to make dirty.
I can't help you with zombies, though. Never really been up on the zombie culture.
I heard that "that's what she said" phrase recently in a movie, but can't remember which one. The Internet tells me that the first instance of it was in Wayne's World in 1992!
[Holding Claudia Schiffer's picture] Garth: Hey, are you done yet? I'm getting tired of holding it. Wayne: Yeah, that's what she said.
I'm just gonna say it: The Dark Knight ain't that great. It just ain't. The writing is bad. The story is bad. It's not funny or cool to murder people. It's really not cool to threaten to kill a child of 7 years. It's the same old crap with better special effects. It's sexist and gross and offensive.
WTF!! you lie. dark knight was great. have you even seen it yet? or just commenting on what you THINK it's about? because the story was great, the writing was great, it was funny, it's not "the same old crap" since it's obviously NOT the same story as the older batman movies from the early 90s, it's more based on the comic books (specifically Frank Miller's) while the older ones aren't based on the comics at all....except for the characters. So if by same old crap you mean staying true to how the story was really written, then yes, it is the same old crap in a newer form. There's a reason it broke records at the box office opening weekend. And sexist because batman is....a man?? and the joker is.....a man??? and harvey dent is....a man??? so three main characters being men is sexist? even though there are strong women in every scene?? so it's sexist? does that mean spider man is sexist as well? it has the same basic set up, man hero with mainly male villains? So you hate just about every hero-based movie ever made, because that's the

Ummm...that was just my opinion. Yes I have seen it. It's ok for you to have your opinion and for me to have mine. It doesn't make anyone a liar. Take a deep breath. It's not that big of a deal, at least it wasn't to me. It's just a movie...
The writing is bad? The story is bad? It's the best reviewed movie of the year. It's based on 20 years of critically acclaimed writing (Frank Miller's Batman comics are considered some of the best in history

Dark Knight really does deserve all the hype it's been getting. Brian and I saw it Saturday night and we were amazed. Better than we expected. Entertainment the whole time, no moments when you're bored and waiting for the movie to just end (like in Spider Man 2.....) and you really don't realize that's the movie's 2.5 hours you're so into it the whole time. Christian Bale is the best batman/Bruce Wayne that's ever played the character. Heath Ledger's joker was amazing! Really how a villain should be in a super hero movie. The best explanation for why he's doing it is from Morgan Freeman's character and even from the Joker himself. Basically that there's no real "reason", he's just one of those guys that likes to cause trouble and mess things up (they obviously say it better). He's actually a much better Joker than Jack Nicholson who was a more goofy clownish Joker. We both really want to see it again, which says a lot since it's only been 2 days. Enough ranting about awesome movie. (One more note about it....Brian and I both came

Obviously someone needs to remove the stick before they see a movie...... I mean it honestly when I say that "The Dark Knight" is one of the best crime dramas ever made. The acting is supremely good. The subtleties of the story are wonderful.
The "That's what she said" thing is obnoxious.
A zombie might say you complete me because zombies eat people and when they eat they are completed? I seriously don't know otherwise how that one is a pop culture thing......
My my....All this hoopla over a movie. Personally, I can't WAIT to see it. Course there are a lot of movies I can't wait to see. I wonder if it's so popular because it was Ledger's last movie or most people think it's that well acted, written and directed. We shall see.....
Jenni you know how out of it I am, so of course I have no idea what "that's what she/he said" (though the explanations make sense, silly!)means and though I like zombies, I don't know what completes them ehhehehehhe.
