Learning Some Korean by listening

Okay. So I'm trying to learn a bit of korean, mostly just sounding the words correctly so I can sing korean songs. So I've been immersing myself in the language by watching dramas. The point is to listen to words that I can hear and sound out and then identify what they mean. More or less I hear em so often they stick out to me ( Read more... )

Actually, your third one is incorrect.

ㅏ니요 (aniyo) means "no" in Korean. Never heard the word 아니에요 used for 'you're welcome' or at all for that matter.

'You're welcome' is 'Cheonmaneyo' or 천만에요

I can't call myself an expert.. but 아니에요 should be right in a sense. Though you're welcome, since I was in a rush, isn't the most correct meaning. I believe it's more like 'Don't worry about it"/"No problem"/"It's not me" like a humble expression. Anieyo should also be used as a negative I believe, or so googlefu told me.

Thanks for pointing it out though. Thinking about it more increases my understanding^^ I also totally forgot about 천만에요.
