I lived in copy shop hell in a Portland suburb years ago, they said it was art! Come be a graphic designer! Make original designs for things and dig on the wealthy Lake Oswego patrons!

Ow. Poison gas from the press, paper cuts, bindery, a jalopy machine that couldn't even read eps files when everything was done in eps exclusively, when I was finally offered a vacation I never went back and instead scrounged at Reed for an entire year before a Portland State prof came and rescued me.

Indeed, today it was How To Load a 100 page course packet for printing in 999 e-z steps, then after lunch the stench of laminations and 10 36" long x-acto trims. I could deal if I didnt have to stand up ALL 8 hours straight.

Still I could print my own agitprop manifestos before I go on to further adventures at the next job.
