We're supposed to get it here, in San Diego, too. But it's only supposed to be 2.6 feet. I do live right next to the bay, but I'm about 40 feet above sea level. Good luck with that!
You will notice even a two feet surge. Probably not any real damage tho.
I really hope it fizzles out before it gets here. The aftermath is the big scary part. We could loose electriciy, water. sewage service ... stores will run out of supplies. It could be bad.
I'm not going near the water today. It's raining anyway. If I was living right on the beach, I might think about doing something. A tsunami would have to get past Interstate 5 to get to me. It's supposed to be hitting here right about now.
I hope the damage is limited where you live, and doesn't affect you much.
