Well just thought I would write something cause I am waiting to go to bed. Anyways I keep reading reviews how awesome Hyouka is (and OMG "isn't it the best anime of the season!!")...I am pretty amazed that people can get past the fact that there is no story and no hint of a story.
I thought I would enjoy this, I mean I like slice of life, the art looks amazing etc. I did not think I would like Kimi to Boku (mainly because I tried to read that manga 5 different times and it was so boring every time) but I did, and usually I enjoy this school setting. There is something majorly missing in this anime a PLOT and if I read another review of how interesting and great the plot is, I think I will kill myself. I mean I got to episode 3, and had to turn it off once again. This is not even a thinking anime in which you just need a breather or something. It is more like it is so boring and it is boring me to tears (btw I found YuGiOh's plot more interesting than this, at least we find out he is the pharoh and all the other back story). Yeah Chitanda is cute, the main guy is interesting, and the one guy that sounds like Mikado from Durara is good too, BUT GOOD characters do not make a good anime. I yawned with boredom when Chitanda told us about the reason why she wants Oreki to help her, I am sympathizing with the main character the most except I do not have a penis so I merely find Chitanda annoying rather than cute (sometimes) on how weird this girl is and how I would rather not even take the energy to download the next episode because it is a waste of energy. As for the characters, while they are interesting, they don't seem to have dimensions to them and by that I mean like they can change or grow during the series, rather I feel they are static personalities so this show can not be character based. Just saying this but it seems people are really in love with Kyoani>>> err well I am not in love with any particular animation studio so I would not know (what this type of feeling is), but every anime they have done that I saw was boring as well so maybe their stuff I just find boring. Clannad...I can not even believe people watched this whole thing through I probably watched till episode 5 at the time because I wanted to find out about the one kid whether he was getting abused or what his deal was...I did not watch Inuyasha (err much....well not in order my friend was a fan and would turn it one and be like "Look isn't this awesome").
Hmmm anyway since we are into the season more, I have to say my feelings haven't changed I am still 100% for Jormungand (the rifle shot was awesome) and Tsuritama (episode 6 was seriously awesome, Haru turns into a crazy alien and there seems to be a monster/alien living under the sea???). Oh and Zetman is actually pretty decent, it kind of reminds me of marvel comics. Btw I found the first half of the Avengers boring as hell, it didn't start getting awesome till ummm he Hulk turned green and awesome. The reason why I compare Zetman to Marvel comics is because of the whole sci-fi thing, man-made hero, the whole back story thing, the Achilles heel (of course he can't be awesome all over), deus-ex-machina all over the place, and ridiclous sets of coincidences, and awesome action. The art is not my favorite (although the EVOL's are Awesome looking!)
Caught up on Accel world...ummm all I have to say is that it feels like it is going to become slow soon? Btw Taku looks better in glasses anyways...I might be prejudice. Pretty much Taku is my favorite character and it could be the glasses...
Holyland just finished being scanlated....and I can't believe some people think he is dead....it was not the feeling I got at all. First of all the guys are not talking about him like he is dead just the fact that he is not there (meaning he should be the one fighting Misaki not the guy that Misaki is going to fight), oh and ghosts do not have stitches do they? At least if I become a ghost I hope my scares are gone... Anyways it was awesome, I feel like this manga was really special in a way for me at least because one I do not like fighting type mangas, two I do not like the art (actually I really still do not care for it, although the muscles were awesome and the wounds etc), alot of violence (while I actually like violent animes I actually really do not care for fist fight type of violence).
Oh and if anybody cares I will finish Kachou this weekend, urgh sorry but diablo 3 really is eating up all of my time.
