I feel the same way. It's getting a 6.5 from me mainly because the story is pretty bad with the "OMG! So and so is dead. NOT" plot that hapens agazillion times and the fact that for 90% of the game I was achieving 1-2 hit kills.
Remember the section in the airship where the alarm is going off and you're supposed to race out while soldiers keep coming? I put my three toughest characters in there, adjusted their gambits around, left them in the first main cooridor, and just sat there reading a book while letting them level for about an hour. I'm okay with giving the computer basic commands so you don't have to micromanage everything, but that was rediculous.
Yeah. It's a decent game with some new ideas that are in the right direction but in the end it still has my two biggest gripes about FF games, it requires no intelligence to play and the computer AI is awful
