I can't get my tiny head round the scale of the thing - that it should cause warnings for you so far away makes me slightly /o\ head-on-fire... I hope it doesn't get anywhere near you - take care babe. And slow down! Take things gently please *g*

Earthquakes in Japan or anywhere in the Pacific Ocean can throw Tsunamis our way.
The time has past but, what a way to come awake. Hearing some guy talking about heading toward higher ground and this awful squawking alarm. eep.
Yesterday was just one of those days when nothing fell into place. But that's usually how it is when disaster strikes. Just a normal crazy day, then kaBOOM.

We were never in any real peril, not like the people on the chain or Dutch Harbor, places like that. Just the realization another huge quake had occurred and the jolt of shock from hearing the EBCS activated again. Brings back memories and not really good ones.

Glad that it sounds like things are under control for you. We have a minor alert - it's not a good idea to be on the beach or harbours until they see how it comes in, but there's no major land encroachment expected.

Poor Japan. The video of the tsunami coming ashore is terrifying.

I know. I really hate they are going through this again.
We were never really in harms way, but when the thing goes off you've got to wake up enough to figure out what you need to do.

We are far enough inland, but still have to pay attention when the thing goes off to make sure.
