Unfortunately, yes....each player needs their own account to play with anyone else they know.

Still, in my mind, $15/month is small change compared to other entertainment costs. ;>

It is one account per player. I pay $42/quarter which is slightly cheaper. but sure beats the price of a couple movies and in general is far more interactive and social.
