I... I'm not that good... I know... T_T but I let myself convinced by a friend, so...
Living in Piedmont, I tried to do things in the way I see Piedmont as it goes around me... and since I'm quite close to France maybe I let my personal feelings slipping in there, too... O.o I'm not good in humanizing nations, I put too much of my personality in here lol xDD but, let's explain the things I've done there.
First of all I live in the countryside, so I decided for a more "farmer version" of Piedmont.
Since Piedmont means literally "at the foot of the mountain", I thought to point that out with that things that should be mountains over there.
The with animal should represent a cow, more precisely a Piedmontese cattle.
I decided to make her cheerful because that is the feeling I have of my region; if you do some research, you will find out that here there was lots of tragedies, but the people never let despair getting in. The region was formally created only in 1970, but existed more and more time ago even before Savoy's rule.
Piedmont suffered a lot during the wars between France and Spain, was divided and reunited many times. A bit like it happened in Italy as a nation, I guess... Maybe that was why Piedmont was so into the unification of Italy? But, even after that, Piedmont suffered again very much, because of France, that wanted her to come back, and became very very poor... U_U
And from this Piedmont became much more strong, industrialized, and so on... That is why I decided to let her become a "never-give-up" character.
The first capital of Italy was in Piedmont, in Turin. We was very sad when it was moved to Florence... Maybe that is why we're so concerned about Italy, lol.
A thing I know for sure, Piedmont people was always against fascism.
The thing about Egypt is because of Turin's Egyptian museum: the world's largest and most comprehensive collection of Egyptian antiquities outside the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. And, about tourist... Lot of Germans and Japanese here, and also lots of Swedish in my zone. .__. I never see Spanish here!!! Were are you all??? >_>"
That's pretty much it. Yeah.
