What bugs me is the knee-jerk pseudo-patriotism. It's a TV-version of patriotism - absolutely devoid of thought. A zombie-like SUPPORT OUR TROOPS is not patriotic.
A thoughtful consideration of their sacrifice, bravery, and strength... SEPERATE FROM what our idiot administration has them doing... that's a much more reasonable thing. They've been sent to do a terrible job, to correct something their own administration caused in the first place. Funny how people forget that it was the US who put Saddam in power, in the first place.
So don't blame the troops for what their superiors have done, and cause them to do. If you must protest, do so peacefully and legally.
And, as Acyd notes... you may still go to jail. THAT is what's un-American. Not the protest.
