7x01: "Meet The New Boss" rant

Holy crap................ I absolutely LOVED the new episode! It was one of the best season openers ever - And that's saying something considering how much I adore "In My Time Of Dying"!

But seriously, it was awesome. The writers had some very big stories to talk about in the first episode with Cas as God, Sam with his broken wall and introducing the new big bad but they handled it all really well.

Misha was awesome as power mad Castiel but he really excelled playing the crazy Leviathan. I mean, I giggled when I first saw him jerking because honestly, I thought it was funny looking but two seconds later and he's giving some manic giggles as he happily says Castiel is dead and then throws Dean and Bobby around. That was pretty creepy but also awesome and I really want to see more of this. I do still think Castiel will return for his big redeeming moment but I will enjoy creepy, crazy Misha as long as I can.

Sam's story.... oh Sam. It's no secret that I love Sam to bits and seriously, his hallucinations were just terrifying. The chunks on the hooks and the chains as a noose around his neck? That was horrifying but the most disturbing moment was him seeing Lucifer again and Lucifer telling him that he never left Hell - it's very "A Torture by Hope". I always love Mark Pellegrino as Lucifer, he is the perfect Lucifer to me! I mean, Samifer - holy crap I can't even tell you how much I love Samifer but Mark's Lucifer is just... he's Lucifer, what can you say? and the promo for next week makes me extremely giddy.

Dean was awesome as usual, maybe a tiny better under used in this episode but my favourite Dean moment of the episode was his interaction with Death. I swear, I love Dean and Death's scenes together as much as I love Sam and Lucifer's scenes together. Death is one of the few things that can make the great Dean Winchester shake in his boots and it's fascinating to see how his bravado is constantly stripped down in front of the Grim Reaper himself.

The few Dean and Sam scenes together were awesome (and hilarity at the Dean watching hentai, that was probably the creepiest thing i've ever heard but hilarious too) but I would've been happier with a few more brotherly moments. Then again, first episode of the new season, a lot of stories to tell in one episode and Sam's hell story to be better explored in the next episode, I guess there'll be more in the future so I don't think I should be so petty about that.

So, all in all - I really loved it! I am very excited for episode 2 and I just want to hug both Sam and Dean right now.
