Through the powers of Facebook I have Kevin Smith as a friend who sends blog updates. And this entry has a link to a real sad story involving an infamous site known as MySpace http://silentbobspeaks.com/?p=366 and babysitting kids this really blows my mind. This has been in the news for a while. Its f*ed up, no doubt. Just so we're keeping an open mind, though, it wasn't just the fault of the obviously immature adults. It was also a society/culture that doesn't give kids the mental/emotional tools necessary to deal with flaming on the net. Teach kids about social networking in school! (I'll create a facebook group soon.)

Also, this line by Silent Bob is priceless (and so true):
(...let’s be honest: it’s usually the Moms) who go beyond simple interest and into campaign manager mode are fucking psychotic.
