We just bought a King and were considering a Cal-King but the mattress sales-guy said that the regular King is wider where as a Cal-King isn't as wide as a regular king but it is longer.

Best purchase ever! I have to have space while sleeping and hate it when he invades my space, haha.

Its a 4" difference in one direction. My dad being hella tall they've always had the Cal King. They need to make, IDK, a Texas or Alaska King where it's square and huge, like 84"x84" or something.

Yeah, regular King size mattresses do nothing but piss off tall people. I have to hike for two days to cuddle, but my feet hang off the bottom.
