Talk about March Madness....

It's pretty weird in here (work) today. For some reason no one seems to be here but me and Re. I know Dick took the day off, but I haven't seen or heard from Alisia yet... Oh wait, scratch that. Alisia just called and said she isn't coming in. So looks like I'm in charge of the office since I've got the most seniority. Haha. Just kidding. That really means nothing. But what is going on? Why is no one coming in? Whatever...

My BIG news: Next week Sarah and I are going to Myrtle Beach (Sat-Fri). We booked a cheap hotel on the beach yesterday, making it official. It's just going to be us two and we are going to drive down there (down I-77, my FAVORITE expressway). I'm super excited. Not only is it beach, but it's beach in SC! AND we HAVE to make a trip into Columbia during the week because Sarah has to do a thing at the court house for homework. Yea! I'm going to visit the Riverwalk, maaaaybe run there if I can work it out, and take pictures of all the stuff I missed last time. We are going to have fun.

Okay, so check out this CRAZINESS....
This week (week 1): Regular old work and nothingness
Week 2: MYRTLE BEACH WHOO
Week 3: Regular old work and nothingness
Week 4: Leaving for CHILE on THURS (probably no work)

ANNNND somewhere in there (probably week 3) I will have to make a trip to Chi-town to get my visa stamped and finger printed. So that's kind of insane. If I was a normal person I'd be freaking out right now, but I'm okay. I figure all I really have left to do is go to Chicago and buy stuff/pack. I can go to Chicago week 3 and pack during week 4 and everything will be fine. That might not leave much time for work, but too bad for them. It really all depends on the Chilean consulate calling me. Hopefully that'll be soon so that I can make a real plan. Cross your dedos.

I'm really sad the Olympics are over. They are so much fun to watch. I love Joey Cheek even more now because he donated his bonus money for winning two medals to charity. And now he's retired from skating so that he can go to grad school and have a real life. He's the best. There is ONE reason I'm glad the Olympics are over, though, and that's because normal NBC programs are back! AND a new Lost is on this week (although that has nothing to do with the Olympics).

I still can't run because of my foot. It's getting annoying. Hopefully it'll be better by the time SC rolls around. Otherwise I'll be super pissed.

Yesterday I was watching this thing on PBS about Great Canadian Lodges. Of course they talked about Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise but they also talked about one at Mount Assiniboine which I had never heard of. Apparently you can only get there via helicopter or 17 mile hike and it's pretty small. The staff there makes you home cooked meals and takes you on really nice hikes and they have all been there and doing it since they were little. It seems awesome and they all seemed really nice. Haha. In case you can't tell, I really want to go. My Dad looked interested though, that's encouraging.

Okay I'm bored of this. A few more people have come in, too, so it's not so horribly quiet in here. UGH. And I need to figure out what I'm going to do when I'm in Chile as far as posting pictures and stuff. Hmmm.

Anyway, Bye.
