Hmmm. I guess I haven't written since Chiloé. Oops. I also write in my own, normal journal, so sometimes I forget to update this one...
The weather here is beginning to turn to winter. For a couple days this week it just rained literally ALL day and night. And hard, too. One of the days there was also a super strong wind. It was kind of scary. At night it was super loud and, I'm not sure if that was the reason, but I could NOT fall asleep that night and ended up just listening to the wind and rain in my bed for a good four hours. It was kind of crazy. It sounded pretty cool though. Because of the crazy weather (and being busy) I haven't run since Monday. Running in the rain isn't bad, but I REFUSE to run in crazy wind. That is where I draw the line. Today is just grey and cool, though, so I'm going to go running as soon as I finish this. Yea!
My classes have been picking up a little bit. I mean I actually have some homework to do. I have three little papers to write in the next week or so. Nothing bad, though, but a bit of a change to the NOTHING I have done so far. Haha.
So one of the reasons I haven't written for so long is because nothing new has really been going down. We didn't travel last weekend, so I didn't do much. Easter around here really doesn't seem to be a big deal, despite the fact that most people are Catholic. I mean no one really did anything, especially in my family because we are half Jewish. On Good Friday we went to a party at my uncles in which we had appetizers, champange, and pizza (in order to avoid meat). That was actually pretty fun. Then on Easter Sunday we had a big almuerzo with the immediate family (no big deal) and my parents bought me a chocolate egg. They're so cute. So yeah, that was my weekend pretty much. I also ran a lot and did my usual hanging out with friends.
This weekend should be better. Today we have a meeting with this volunteer program I'm doing. Hopefully it's not too lame. Tomorrow me and my friends are probably going to hit up Aguas Calientes for the day. It's a national park about 2 hours away that has hot springs and a couple volcanoes. If the weather holds out we will hopefully be able to climb a volcano. Cross your fingers for me!
Okay, I suppose that's all for now. I told myself I would go running at 11am and it's about that time.
PEACE.
