Just went home to visit..
Stepmum's eyes were wet as i was leaving and said to come back more often...
Not that I don't wanna go back to visit..but really nothing much when I go back anyway..
Go back just to see my twin nieces lor.. Otherwise go back also nothing much to talk to my dad much less my brother..
Nevertheless it was quite heartbreaking to

I think your stepmom genuinely cares about you and that by itself, is already a good enough reason to visit. Sometimes you don't actually have to do something at home, but just simply be there. I think your very presence is a solace to your stepmom. Alternatively you can always ask her out for lunch, dinner, tea. She sounds like a lovely lady :)

once you move out officially you need to have a routine visit frequency. if once a week is too frequent for you try once a fortnight or once a month. discuss with your stepmom what works.

it doesn't matter if you have anything to say or not. it is just duty like going for ICT every year.

and with the discipline will come the bonding and rewards. plus you get to see your nieces grow up!
