You may wish to look into Buddhism and how they view pain, as well as how they work through it and handle it. The Buddhism LJ in particular has a number of posts of which the replies they recieved might be helpful to you.

i dont have a blogspot...but i know how you're feeling. and i know you will find it again. because i have. it took a year and a half after tyler, but i have it. and hes not going anywhere-but also time is a factor. we are supposed to be together right now in the frame of time. but who knows if it will stay like that. there are more powers at work here than just ourselves. :) i luv you matt and i will try you later today at home. *hugs*
