I got to your journal from c_s...sorry if I sound like a creeper haha.
But I get the same sort of customer O_O suck # 2 in particular. The ticketing system makes me want to scream sometimes, instead of creating orderliness it just shows the people who are god damned morons and impatient.
Nah, I work at Coles...but really, you get the same shit at both stores :P I actually prefer the Woolies near me, I like their fruit + Beg section better but I don't like their Deli and they don't have an in-house bakery or butcher which is weird.
The tickets really aren't that complicated...it's combination of idiotic customers and a poorly designed deli...I like to be able to see the *entire* deli from anywhere...and I especially don't like that their are places where customers can enter and we can't see them (I have had bad experiences at my last store with drunks coming *into* the deli and threatening us)
I used to prefer the Coles near me but it got revamped :S yeah, not all Woolies having butches + bakeries is ridiculous I must admit.
And ah okay. I find most of my customer_sucks are to do with the ticketing system e.g. like your customer suck 2 people complain about waiting for ages or you skipping their ticket, them taking a ticket when there's no one around and you serve someone before them who was waiting before them, people lying about what ticket number they are, you call someones ticket number for ages and they dont respond so you move onto someone else and then after you go onto someone else the customer with that ticket number returns and spazzes out at you *takes a deep breath* sorry, needed to rant to someone who understands.
Sliced fresh on demand gives a lot of customer_sucks too. I just find it ironic that the ticketing system is meant to solve problems, but sometimes it creates more problems.
You have a Concept Store near you? Ours is supposed to be getting re-done (it really needs it, the whole store is badly designed...the Deli cuts the store in half).
And I HATE when people lie about their ticket number...seriously, how hard is it to wait an extra few minutes? And the 'deaf' customers really annoy me...they can't hear you when you are calling out their number but they sure as shit hear you call out the next one :/ And people who are on their phones...and people who get tickets, wait until we call it out THEN take fucking ages to decide what they want...in the meantime you have to stand there waiting for them, because if you skip them it throws the whole system out!
And don't worry about ranting...it's good for the soul and keeps us sane (for a short time at least...you have to be a little bit nuts to work in the Deli it seems lol!)
