Of no interest unless you like yarn. Or alpacas

Today I bought 4 pounds of B cut from this alpaca It ran me $60 which is a little more than I wanted to pay but the color is amazing.

Personally, I just love alpacas.

So does my mum, strangely. I think she dreams of moving to the country and keeping alpacas, because they're just so cute.

When are you going to knit me something, hmm?

oooh pretty pretty, that looks light enough that you could dye some of it up too.

I am currently spinning it 50/50 with some of those mill ends I bought a while back. It's looking REALLY good, a light camel color. I want to do a Red Scarf project scarf though so I might dye it dark dark red.

that sounds really nice! You can dye it as yarn or dye it as wool.

If you dye it before you spin it and try and make sure the dye *doesn't* take up evenly, you can probably spin it into a really pretty yarn with alot of color depth and subtlety.
