Argh, so I finally ended up getting a new computer since my other one is still pretty fritzy and laggy... I figured it would be better to get one while the other one still works, rather than waiting until the thing craps out completely. I haven't bought a new one since 2008, so it's pretty old

That's weird, considering computers these days generally find the network and join automatically once you put in the password.

Wish I could help, but my knowledge in the computer area is lacking.
