jessica, i was gonna tell you a scary thing that my scuba instructor told us about the navy, but this is worse i think. just be careful if you have to learn to scuba dive.
and i'm gonna pray for you, even if you don't believe in it.

ok so the scary thing:
we were in scuba class and we were talking about the dive table and they're so you know how long you can go down for with out getting the bends when you come up, and our teacher was saying they were based on navy dive tables, but nodified becasue they navy was ok with a 5% casulty rate, and the recrational board wasn't. but a casulty is scuba is like a horrific death.
also, in our traing we do an underwater swim where we hold our breath, but not for too far so we don't have "shallow water blackout" as in just passout in the water and no one notice and we drown, but in the navy they have you swim for way longer and have a person swim on top of so so the WHEN (not if) you pass out the can haul you out, give you mouth to mouth, yell at you and make you go swim some more.
this guy in my class was like, "sign me up"..and i was like "holy byl!!!!! jessica!!!!!" so be careful.

i think that swimming on top of you thing is for SEALs only, 'cause in the Navy you only have to have third class swimmer certification. in boot camp, they have you jump off a 10 foot platform into the water, then swim 50 yards (any stroke) and you're done
