PS. to anyone who has even a REMOTE interest in the Navy or its affairs in the Pacific during WWII, please read this book: The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, by James D. Hornfischer. it is so good T_T i about cried when i finished it yesterday. it's kind of grisly in parts, and there's a lot of discussing of naval equipment and it's peppered with naval jargon... BUT it is a wonderful story of valor and courage! i am just about going to burst with affinity for this book. does anyone want to borrow it from me??!
*cue crickets*
fine ;_; i'm kidding. you do have to have a burgeoning interest in naval warfare and a good dose of patriotic pride to enjoy it, and those two things generall don't go together, at least, with you CIVILIANS. kidding again... heheh... anyway great book. read it.
