Woe, all good things must come to an end: I had to put trinityofone on a plane back to California today. My fun is over, and the real world resumes tomorrow, when I send out some more letters asking people to please hire me to teach their students about medieval stuff next year

I'm distracted by my internal voice trying to pronounce your name, though. I vacillate between spelling out A E S C in my head and pronouncing it in the classical Latin way as Eye-sk.

As for my SN, it's Old English, and is pronounced "ash"; the -sc is, in Old English, pronounced like our digraph -sh :D

Jeepers! I can say it, but it sounds really crazy and fake-surprised. What's hilarious is that it's probably a workaround for taking the Lord's name in vain, and you just know Jesus is sitting up there somewhere, rolling his eyes and saying "I know what you're thinking, loser."
