Ufff, what a day. I had to drive a couple hours out to Hanover to do research, which meant a four-hour round trip without a trinityofone to keep me company. What did end up keeping me company was horrible, wretched cramps, and the steadily-growing conviction that what was sloshing around in my uterus was, in fact, radioactive sludge. That was fun. And for the ( Read more... )

Once you get near the end, it's better! No more vampires! Also, keep repeating to yourself that Dean is REALLY HOT.

Then watch the preview for next week and that will make it all better.

I have a few ideas about Sam, but none of them are any good. a) He has no soul. Although you think Cas would have said something if that were the case. b) In HIS time in hell, unlike Dean, he learned to really love suffering and torture, so now he just kinda digs that sort of thing. c) Lucifer's in his head somewhere sucking out all his compassion and emotion. d) It really is just Lucifer doing a Sam impression.

I don't understand why Dean was surprised that something's wrong with Sam. Am I making this up, or didn't Sam TELL him there was something wrong with him the first episode of the season?

If Sam's going to be throwing Dean under the bus at every chance, that means that Dean's now got danger from two sides. The monsters OR HIS BROTHER might kill him. Awesome.

More speculations and rambling over in my journal.

If it's b).... argh, that might be the worst one! SAM. WHAT THE FUCK.

I'd have to go back and look, but I can't remember Sam phrasing it as such. I know he says that his time in Hell affected him differently--but that's also Sam saying it, and we don't really know how far we can trust him yet.

It's true, his phrasing was just that it was different. But I think the implication was supposed to be that for Dean it was horrible and gave him nightmares you pathetic loser. Whereas for Sam, it either wasn't so awful or he's just so super strong that he never broke and let it affect him.

Heh. I actually like vampires, in theory - there's something about them that speaks to my id. But that something is invariably not what the popular iterations of the trope focus on ... so I tend to dislike them in actual practice. *g*

This sounds like a very weird episode, and I'm looking forward to seeing it soon!

It was quite strange! And, given my general hostility toward vampires, I'm surprised I liked it as much as I did :D

Deep thought: Dean with blood on him will never not be hot.

YES!!

And I kind of hoped that Kristen would be the vampire.
