NaNoWriMo, Casifesto, stuff

Hurray, I'm on Day Three of NaNo, and already I'm a bit ahead of schedule. I've been trying to push for 2,000 words/day, so I can have a day off every now and then if I need it, and so far it hasn't been too bad. At the moment, the big challenge is not flipping out over how badly my style seems to have stagnated; it doesn't seem to move the way it ( Read more... )

I suspect you're going to have a lot more to add to the Casifesto after 6.07 airs. XD

Hope you feel better soon, and I most definitely know how you feel about "Election Day" hangovers. Bleh. D:

I knowww, I am excited! It's nice to have something to be excited about after the almost unmitigated misery that was Tuesday (the only thing my state managed to do was right was re-elect the governor) and being sick and feeling generally wretched.

Me too! I mean, it NEEDS MOAR CAS, but I am quite enjoying it!

My NaNo is actually a rewriting of Below Skyscrapers, the noiry AU thingy I did for the deancas exchange earlier this year. It needs massive revisions, and I am at the OH MY GOD DID I ACTUALLY WRITE THAT D: D: D: stage at the moment.

Um, BECAUSE CAS IS OSSUM, DUH.

Why are you working on that?

COZ :D I really like the universe, and also it is a very significant reworking (Dean becomes girl!Dean, among other things), and I think it could go somewhere! There is also another story in that general universe I've had kicking around for a while, but it is not very well-articulated yet. Hyle might have something to do with it, though.

Re: your NANO. Oh my god that's so amazing and wonderful!
I think I have 800 words of some kind of awful Three Kingdoms fanfic. I give up, this NaNo I'm hoping to just finish all my WIP's and the sad novel that's been scratching at my heart since 07 and hope that adds up to 50k.

Err I'm sorry about the election too ::hugs:: Cali went mostly democratic and I have the terrible feeling that we're STILL boned.

::makes plans to stuff your and mine unemployment depression between some deep rocks where they will be drowned by the tide and gnawed by anemone::

50,000 words of anything, even multiple things, in a month is very good! Technically my dissertation should be my NaNo, but that thing makes me feel ill, and not in an upper-respiratory-infection sort of way, to think about it.

NH went mostly Republican. At least we kept our governor, as his competition was one of those socially-conservative asshats masquerading as a libertarian. Ugh. Stupid country.
