.spn 6.08: or, sit, stay, heel

Yes, things have been crap lately, so I've been invisible. Vomiting up negativity isn't terribly attractive. Also, I've been sleeping around ten hours a day in between trying to finish the pile of crap that is my dissertation, so that doesn't leave much time for anything else. Damn, but the switch back to standard time sucks all the life and joy ( Read more... )

spn:yay!

First of all, the deal that Sam and Dean need to make with Crowley is that they hand him an Alpha and Crowley takes off about 2/3rds (at least) of Sam's sideburns. SERIOUSLY. Like, I am less concerned about Sam's soul at this point than I am about his sideburns, because they are so distractingly awful. They make it hard to focus on Sam being a de-souled, manipulative jerkface.

XD
OMG YES!!! I was thinking the exact same thing!! I mean, I kept trying to concentrate on Sam's little speech at the end, you know, this season's version of confessions by the road, only this time it's degree-of-Sam-ness as the episodes progress, only I continuously got distracted by those awful sideburns and spaced off thinking of ways to have them forcibly removed, be it by some monster's bite, or by Crowley-psychic-torture or whatever, just GET THEM GONE!
So anyway ^_^

Also, omg I totally share those hideous childhood memories! My mom says the very first two movies I ever watched were the worst, because I would freak-out mid-movie and scream until she'd take us out of the theatre (Apparently this was when both Chatrán and Pinocchio were in danger), but I have no recollection of this.
I do however still guilt-trip-her blame her on occasion for All Dogs Go To Heaven and The Lion King. Freaking awful movies.

I MISS YOU.

I read the thing about the sideburns aloud and I almost killed Lily. JSYK.

If you were, like me, unfortunate enough to see the movie, his dog-shape being a German Shepherd was a callback to that HORRIBLE AWFUL CARTOON THING OF AWFULNESS.

I SO know what you mean!

And this episode! It's the only one which made me cry where the boys weren't the reason.

Speaking of manipulative assholes, why do I like Crowley so much? He's unrepentantly horrible, and that just never flies with me. Still, I like him, goddammit.

It's probably because he's played by Mark Sheppard, seriously, that guy can play pretty much any type of bad guy and still make you like him. It's a thing.

Hope things go better for you soon and good luck with finishing your dissertation *peers at the pile of essay that need writing before the holidays and headdesks*

I think it's related to his level of composed glee while being evil. He's repentant, sure. But not gross or nasty.

Although WHY the boys are even entertaining that Crowley might actually give them Sam's soul I have no idea. I guess they don't have any other options, but why they think he'd tell the truth on that point is beyond me.

Hey I added you on the NaNoWriMo site. You're about the only person I know who isn't horribly behind. Including me, even with a 5000-word day yesterday. :/ What are you Wrimo-ing?
