So, I've had a policy of not telling coworkers about belly dance. I want to be taken seriously at work, and having people imagine my navel (or imagine the costumes and moves of some belly dancers) doesn't seem productive for that. I think even my conservative parents can appreciate belly dance as art form. I bet you would get more respect point at the office than not. But then some office dynamics can be staid or complicated.

Yeah, I know people would think it was cool, I just don't want them to be thinking about my navel in meetings ;)

Hahaha, oh well, people are probably too busy thinking about whatever else in their lives anyhow.

He didn't come, his friend was sick. Yeah, it was weird telling him about it, but I think we're really good, so I was looking forward to him seeing the show.
