Well, ok, there's ambient noise like there is everywhere, but there's nothing coming from MY apartment. Not good noise, you know? Which is needed, especially in Harlem.

True, but a dog is far too much trouble. A cat can just use the litterbox; a dog has to go out. Plus, I work a lot, sometimes on weird shifts. A dog will feel that more than a cat.

Some manner of caged creature is possible, I suppose. Like a guinea pig.
