For context, check out this interesting article on social media written by my mother. I think the thesis of the article is asking two significant questions: if print is dying, then what is replacing it; and do these replacements embody the same kind of meaning and understanding

You're probably going to say this is a minor thing, but the paragraph about the Ann Landers column really bugs me. Why would it need to be your spouse who might come up with their own version, why not you? That genders something that is otherwise a throwaway line.

Throwaway aside lines are the best place to look for assumptions, because you show your worldview in your presumptions (we all do).
