Lightning Storm

Here's a couple minutes of the lightning storm we had today... It lasted over 2 hours. My cam sucks for movies, so you only see the brightest flashes. It was lit up like a warzone though with flashes going off every second. (Click to play the video, if you're slow)

Nice use of video. Your place is basically in the best spot in town to see this kind of stuff. Next lightning storm we should throw a blitzpartei.

Fireworks here were ridiculous. We got there too early and left before they started... but it felt like they were 2 inches above your head and made the whole sky light up in color. By far the best I've ever seen fireworks look... and that was looking through my window. If we had stayed parked on the street it would have been amazing

Cool. Why was it orangish closer to the horizon? sun still not quite set? Also, music, who was that?

It was a lot lighter than it looked in the video. I found out later my camera has a white balance shift for night movies, so if I had used that it probably would have turned out better. Part of it too is the youtube compressed, it looks a lot more realistic in the uncompressed avi
