This movie can be summed up into three different categories: before thoughts, during thoughts, and after thoughts. My thoughts on each of these included the following:

I think I'll be renting this one for sure this weekend. I have heard nothing but good reviews about it mostly from people who are now renting it from the local video stores. I think a lot of people (including myself) didn't go see it for the same reasons you noted. =)

part of the reason why edward norton wasn't exactly up to par in this movie is that he didn't want to be in it in the first place - he was committed to it by paramount. if you saw any of the promotion they did for the film, you probably noticed that norton wasn't there, despite the fact that he was a major cast member. just some behind-the-scenes info for ya...
