Today's the day

For what, I'm not exactly sure but it feels like one of those days anyhow. Like somehow it's important and I'm just not seeing it yet. Last time I felt like this it ended up being the actual day I got accepted to study abroad, though I didn't get the email until a few days later. Anyone else ever get that feeling or am I just weird

Not at all a total nerd for getting excited about shooting up fly embryos with DNA, or for squishing them either. It just goes to show how smart you are. ;-)

That's got to be totally exciting. I always loved labs, and the work you're doing sounds incredibly cool! Do they tell you what ato expect in the potential transformants, or is discovering that part of the task?

Well, you can tell if they're transformants because they have this indicator gene that makes them have red eyes! And then you look for other differences compared to regular flies. What those are going to be, we have no idea :D
