I think this has been the longest break from updating in my history. This has to do with not having my computer during Christmas break, but since it has been returned, I haven’t had the effort to update. There hasn’t been any significant events in my life recently, except for my academic scholarship to the University of Tampa. Very cool. I’ve been ( Read more... )

Get Bust A Groove! One or Two, it doesn't matter. I've only ever played one. But it kicks ass. And if the DDR dance pad works with it, that'd be ever sweeter.

I just picked up Dance Summit:2001 in Akihabara (Bust a Groove 3). It is so much fun. 4 players simultaneous.

Quartet combo!

Can you use a regular DDR dance pad with it? Is it better than DDR? (Can you play more than 2 players with PS2? Perhaps special adapter?)

Well you can, but its not really worth it. Bust a groove is more of a game you play with your friends to see how can make their character dance the best. The arrows for each character are the same patterns no matter what song you play, its just about mastering the rhythm and your charachters patterns. Its really meant to be played with with the standard Ps2 controller, or if you have Dance summit:2001, the special Dance Summit:2001 Controller. Bust a Groove 1 and 2, which are available in the US, are 1 or 2 players only. Dance Summit:2001 is available only in Japan and is up to 4 players (using a PS2 multitap accessory).

Its not "better" than DDR. Its a different kind of game (you don't use your feet). Its like DDR in that its a really fun music / rhythm based game.
