i'm seeing what i'm seeing because the actors are stellar, not because of the writing D:

Another example I fear was Gilli's sudden change of heart at the end - only brought on by Merlin defeating him as far as I could tell, which I found unconvincing, even though I liked Merlin and Gilli parting as friends.

Typing this I start to wonder if Gilli might next appear for the Morgause team, though I hope not.

it may be silly but I sometimes wish the actors were writing the show...

ah I hope he doesn't join team evil :( it's nice to have someone other than Merlin (and Gaius I guess) who is magical without being destructive.
