[The storm rolls over the landscape, covering the sky in the darkness of the clouds, consuming then brightness of the sun and casting a shadow across the lands. It is not unsettling though and during the normal heat of the mid-day sun, it provides a comfort, a small chill to the air and a manner that cools down the Earth during the waves of summer. His home has open archways that greet the sky full force in which there is no shelter from the sound of thunder that rolls down from the overcast gray onto the earth and shakes the paintings on the walls while lighting dances amongst the rain; a downpour that feeds the hungry lands

[Pausing as the other jumped, Turkey arched an eyebrow beneath the cover of his mask and to compensate the lack of visibility to the other, gave a small tilt to his head. [Slavery had been presence since the dawn of man and while Turkey had not existed that far within, he knew ownership and he knew freedom. The life of a nation could be similar to that, in which empires consumed and owned, used and manipulated. Just now--he found his successes and could finally have his own freedom, his own lands, his own people could know what it felt like to be free to do as they pleased instead of possessed. He was not about to claim he knew what the other was going through but for now, he could at least do something to keep his mind off of whatever plagued him

[Laurent gave him a sheepish smile, embarrassed. Turkey offered him a place to stay while visiting his land and he was wasting time focusing on bad memories. Laurent's eyes fell to the tea pot and the smile widened.]
