Gee. 2016 had lots of moments of delight. New people, new places, new things seen and done. But 2016 had an unusually high number of rough spots. More stress. More negativity. More illnesses and problems. 2017? Perhaps you can ease off on the exciting but troublesome moments? -
So long to 2013
Every year starts off with promise. 2013 seemed to hit speedbumps, odd twists and turns very quickly. Like a visit to a new city, I found myself hoping that the next street would reveal a new scene, a park, a cafe, something, and turn a somewhat disappointing visit into something special. Two visits, 7 hours and it appears I'm going to end up buying what I'd planned originally. Wellll... maybe a desk. The landlord should replace that, but the heck with it. The worst that will happen is I'll end up with two desks. How awful would that be? -
Annoyed I am
It appears LJ has a problem that results in spam from people allegedly replying to your posts. Only it isn't.
I suppose the good news is that I rarely reply or post to public threads. -
Wanderings
So it occurred to me that it had been a while since I'd been here. Not that it's a huge portion of my life to be on social networking sites, but LJ has been, well, less ego-driven and exhibitionist like than another social site ( Read more... ) -
Off and Wandering
Yup.
Finally I get to leave the office behind for almost two weeks.
Out of the country. Mobile phone on meeting (a quiet chirp only).
People backing me up.
It's nice to go on vacation. -
Nothing major
A quiet weekend spent with the right people, doing the things we wanted to do.
Friday night, nice beers, nice conversation at SG for a birthday bash. Saturday nice food, nice relaxing evening and a low-key Sunday.
