I'm a complete failure. 26 years, and I have done absolutely nothing with my life except waste time and flunk out of school. I've failed everything I've ever done.
Sadly, a lot of people feel like that and birthdays are a great reminder of it. Anyway: Happy birthday! (And I mean: Happy. Don't even try and do anything but take it easy and relax.)
I'm dealing with that kind of negativity myself about being fifty (and I'm stalling by reading LJ rather than exercising as I promised myself I would do this morning), but it's not too late for me, and it's not too late for you either. Sometimes we feel so locked in to the negativity that it's as if we have an obligation to the universe to keep on failing, as if the natural laws of all reality would be violated somehow if we ever finally got it right. The fabric of all that is would NOT fall apart if we gave ourselves a break.
I'm glad that you're here, and I wish you were able to be more glad of that fact, but I am grateful that you're seeing another year and I wish you a peaceful day and a better year ahead.

And I'm sure you're absolutely brilliant as well. Which is why I've been pulled in so many directions and can't make up my mind about anything.
*added you*
