and then I realized that we were honoring the festival of Brigid, Goddess of the Hearth!
One year, instead of Dark Goddess, The Vortex did an excellent production, called "Holy Well, Sacred Flame," which was devoted to Brigid. Ne'er mind what the Chronicle said... for hours after it was over, I was still in tears of joy & sorrow from the evocation. In contrast, I have really been wanting to go laugh my ass off @ The Vortex's current show, "Trickster!" ...maybe next Thursday or Friday? I think I know some clowns who might be interested.
Tomorrow, we were going to get together with some friends for margaritas before going down to Carnaval... you are welcome to join us!!!

Ooh! I like this a lot, this is a big thing for me. The only thing I can think of to make me happier about the relationships we've begun in Austin is that so often we all spend time in pairs, and I feel that I am not quite getting the optimum information from these people that I want to get to know unless I am spending time one-on-one with them at least some of the time! I would really like to do something about that, actually...
